Linda Parzecki

Hello! My name is Linda Parzecki-Aslih and I am the School Counselor for Thomas Jefferson School #9 and Theodore Roosevelt School #7.

To all of my students and families,

I hope everyone is trying to stay healthy.  As we all adjust to virtual schooling please take a moment to relax and breathe.  It is okay to feel unsure and uneasy.  It is also okay to work at your own pace.  This is a big adjustment as we face the challenges of working and learning from home during these uncertain times.  I am here for you, as we are in this together!  Please feel free to email me. I am available Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm.  Please also check out my website daily.  There are supports and resources listed on my homepage under Useful links on the left.  While we are all at home, here are a few things you can do for yourself:

-Continue to practice good hygiene including covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze and washing your hands with soap and water.

-Get some fresh air when it is nice outside, and try to get some exercise by doing things you like.

-Try to make healthy eating choices and take your vitamins.

-Take some deep breaths and try to stay positive.

-Try to keep up with your schoolwork every day.

-Take breaks when needed.

-Stick to a regular sleep schedule.

-Help around the house.

-Be kind to your siblings and parents/guardians.  Kindness always counts!

-Talk to your family and those around you if you are worried about anything.

-Write a letter, color or draw, be creative.

-Play!  Play a board game, or some cards with your family.

-Lastly, be yourself, play, laugh and be happy.
